In a few words
NarsaHome is a medical/paramedical platform that serves as a liaison between the hospital and the patient's home. It addresses the needs of Home Hospitalization. This Liège model is unique in Belgium.
Home Hospitalization (HAD) involves delivering specialized/hospital care at home that is normally only provided in hospitals, such as certain chemotherapies, intravenous antibiotic therapies, certain pediatric care, etc. It shortens or avoids hospitalization for the patient.
The aim of the non-profit organization is to promote the return home for the greatest number of patients meeting the discharge criteria. The platform and the care provided do not incur additional costs for the patient.
A Belgian oncologist, a pioneer in oncology home hospitalization, brings her expertise to the operation and overall structural reflection.
Since March 2018, 32,000 hospital days have been avoided for patients."
